Shooting my opening scene.
My opening scene from another angle.
On a stage with the Gate of Oaks set. This set was dismantled and put up on location several days later. From lft to rt.: CJ Diehl holding the lantern, our brilliant Cinematographer Harrison Reynolds (in the white shorts), Writer Director Bert Thomas, and some old fart that they found homeless on the streets of Burbank and convinced to play Grandpa, and in the red shirt, our ever diligent Script Supervisor Desmon Jernigan.
Mikey Licari and CJ Diehl who play my grandsons, James and Avon.
Juan "Wolfman" Ramirez putting on his finishing touches before we shoot.
Just another pretty picture of yours truly.
Revealing some of how the magic is made
Between takes.
Waiting to be called on set.
Relaxing while the camera is being repositioned. I'm holding on to the lantern because the battery pack is stuck in my back pants pocket and the cord was run thru the sleeve of my jacket.
Writer Director Bert Thomas a bit unhappy with my last take. :-)
